To Be Honest.

To be honest, I really didn’t like this course. I found it rather pointless as I personally have not much interest in writing on demand. I don’t mind writing three or four stories a year, but I find writing back to back rather boring. I’m not saying the course would be pointless for everyone but I did find it rather out of interest for me. With that aside, I’ll move on to some of the other questions of which I am asked to give the answer.
The type of writing I found most challenging was the picture writing, what I mean by this is when the teacher would put a picture on the smart board. We were then asked to write a story on the picture, I found this rather difficult as I do not find myself much of a creative writer; as a result my work was rather dull and boring. That being said, the easiest type of writing for me was when making up our own stories, that were to be fact or fictional. I found I could use my imagination as well as my imagination to create a decent story.
My favorite assignment that I had written in this course was my story, African Safari. This story is my favorite because it was something that I felt had really taken me some creativity to come up with, as I mentioned earlier, creativity is not my strong suit. I also enjoyed some of the comments I had received in class form my classmates.  However, one assignment I didn’t like at all was my time capsule story. I read it over now and I wish I had not written it. I found that I had written what I had just to complete the assignment, it was not a very thought out story, nor did I put any feeling into it.
The peer assessing that we had done in class, was pretty productive in my opinion. It gave me an idea of how the teacher was marking our work, and also about what my age group had thought of my writing.  The assessing also made the editing process easier for me as I find it hard to detect my own mistakes. I also enjoyed assessing other student’s work, I enjoy to read and I found I could relate to the stories better knowing of who had written them on a more personal level rather than a professional author’s work.
As I have mentioned before, my weakness in writing is creativity. Though I feel it has improved a bit, I do not feel it is at the level I wish it were at this point in time, after almost completing the course.
The most enjoyable activity is not what I “did” it is what my group and I are doing now, which is our 1 minute video. I really like this activity because I get to discuss topics with my friends, and get to work on this project with them. It was a laugh when filming, and it is pretty fun doing the editing. That being said, my least enjoyable activity was anytime we had to do demand writing. I do not like demand writing period, I find it boring and makes for very dull writing.
