Threads of lost time (time capsule)

In my time capsule, I would place five things. I would place an iPod (with 50 bestselling songs of 2012), a video of my friends and I, a Canadian flag, a USB drive with the 5 best movies of our time (refer to my other post to see list), and last but not least the Xbox game Halo 4.

There are numerous items one could pick to place in a time capsule to be placed for 100 years. The things that I personally chose are things that I feel represent this country, as well as I a Canadian citizen of the year 2012.

I would place an iPod in the time capsule to show what we here in the 21st century listened to as music. It would show how, and what entertained us as individuals of our time period. I would place the iPod in the capsule with instructions of how to use it; I would place the best selling 50 songs of 2012 on the iPod to show what our genre of music was.

The second thing I choose to place in the capsule would be a basic video camera filled with pictures of New Brunswick, and a short video of my friends and me. In the video we would tell what it’s like to live in our time period. We would also explain what we do for fun and what we did as children growing up.

I would place the Canadian flag in the capsule just in case the flag aster in some way through the years. I believe it would show how we love our country, and show how patriotic we are in this time period.

The USB that I would place in the capsule would represent the technology as well as our best actors of our time. The movies in my opinion would show what we in this time enjoyed and entertained us. This would show what we are like as people.

The final thing I would place in the capsule would be Halo 4. I decided to put this in because it would show what I enjoy as a person. I like to play games and Halo 4 is my favorite game to date. Many teenagers of our time like to play games, like Xbox, PS3, Wii etc. So a game in the capsule would help show what entertained us as kids.

The items I choose I believe represent the people of 2012. These five items are what I feel represent me as a Canadian and the youth of the world today.

Letter

Dear People of the Future

Dear people of another time, today is December 3rd 2012. In this letter I will tell things about myself as well as about our time period. I have an abnormally large family, those of which I will not mention as this is going to be published online. Ok so that aside, I think you should know one thing about our time, it SUCKS!

The people of today’s society revolve around technology, we rarely communicate face to face, and we defiantly do not write letters. So take it easy on me, if you don’t think I wrote this letter properly; at least I tried.

Some things you should about our decade is that we here in Canada are a very “peaceful” nation. We rarely get into problems with other countries. Canada in my opinion is the best country in the world because of our patriotism and because of the spirit of the country.

In world history, recently there have been many problems in the Middle-Eastern countries. Countries like Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Egypt and Iraq etc have either been civil war, or war with other countries. Example; Afghanistan has recently been at war with America.

In positive, and ending of my letter, the world isn’t at any major war. So I’d say were doing pretty good.
